The Bledsoe County Nursing Home was constructed in 1976. Bledsoe County received a CDBG grant for ADA upgrades in 2017 and chose Farmer | Morgan to manage and oversee design of the project, as well as provide grant development assistance. The existing facility contains 23 bathrooms that are not ADA-compliant and are required to be so as of 1990 and further clarified by the Department of Justice in 2010. The proposed design is to renovate all bathroom facilities to comply with ADA standards. In addition, there are two centralized bathrooms that will also be renovated. The total demolition and renovation area is approximately 2064 ft.² over 14 areas that are composed of five different bathroom types.
