Teresa Barrett

I am a native of McMinnville, Tennessee with roots that run very deep in that area.   My ancestors planted stakes in Warren County in 1805 and generations later those family roots still run deep in our county.  

I love living in a rural community where you know your neighbors and their parents and grandparents.   Faith,  family, and fellowship are a part of who I am.   Hospitality is a gift I possess and I like trying new culinary creations on any suspects. My husband Leo and I are fortunate to have two grown children who are happily married with wonderful spouses.   Spending time with my two grandsons is wonderful and priceless and they know how to talk me into most anything.  Our third child is a four legged Jack Russell Terrier named Rowdy who rules our home.   I am a "people person" and I will talk to anyone until they turn and flee. I am a positive person and I am convinced that laughter is an important part of survival!

I thrive when I am digging in the dirt.  So in my spare time you will find me gardening and working on outdoor projects. I enjoy adding different plants to our landscaping and since I live in "the nursery capital of the south" I am fortunate to have  the opportunity to roam in many local greenhouses and sales yards looking for new and  unique plants.  My thumb isn't as green as I would like for it to be but each season is a learning experience.
