Sequatchie County Schools Master Plan

Farmer | Morgan is pleased to have the opportu-nity to propose design and planning services for the Sequatchie County Schools Integrated Master Plan project. The intent of the Sequatchie Coun-ty Schools Integrated Campus Master Plan is to increase walkability and Accessibility on-campus and strengthen connectivity for students who live in adjacent low and moderate income (LMI) neighborhoods. The master plan will be inte-grated into the broader community by linking to existing community trails that serve nearby LMI neighborhoods, and by providing safe, Acces-sible routes to the campus for students and cit-izens to access campus exercise amenities daily. The overall goal is to increase Accessibility and access to exercise opportunities for all and en-courage healthier, more active lifestyles through-out the entire county.

The project will generate a plan of action to achieve the school’s and the community’s vision, goals, and objectives for a comprehensive cam-pus master plan for all. This community-driven ap-proach will ensure consensus is achieved among various groups and stakeholders, resulting in a plan that is embraced and supported by the community. The final Sequatchie County Schools Integrated Campus Master Plan document will provide a framework for the development of fu-ture investments pertaining to development, re-development, pedestrian infrastructure improve-ment, ADA upgrades, and overall walkability and connectivity within and surrounding the Se-quatchie County Schools campus. The plan will facilitate the direction, type, location, and scale of new development and campus improvements for the next 10-15 years.
